Mary Standish is a young woman from Seattle who takes an adventurous journey, hoping to escapes some ghosts from her past, and to find a new life in the new environment of wild and free landscape of Alaska. She meets Alan Holt, an Alaskan, who passionately fights for the cause of protecting the environment. As they grow closer, Mary's past comes back to haunt her, causing all sorts of troubles.
